Los Angeles audio collective Ultra-red was organized in 1994 by Dont Rhine and Marco Larsen, who previously teamed in the performing arts troupe bang!manifesto. First launching their own ambient club, dubbed Public Space, the duo also published their own newsletter, Contact: Earth Orbit Rendezvous, which outlined their concept of ambient music as the sound culture of everyday life. Next opting to produce their own music, Ultra-red release
